From mulberry fields in the Dabie Mountains to silk fabrics for customers around the world, our story begins with a connection to home.

Among the mulberry fields, the Stitch Textile team reconnects with the land where silk begins.

At Suzhou Stitch Textile Technology Co., Ltd., silk connects our work to the natural world and to the people who help bring each fabric into being.

Since our company was founded in 2016, we have worked to deepen our expertise in genuine silk. As our business has grown, one place has remained central to our story: Jinzhai County, in the Dabie Mountains of Anhui Province.

This is our founder’s hometown. It is also the place that inspired a lasting ambition—to build a successful business and bring opportunities back to the community that shaped us.

Returning Home to Grow Something Lasting

In 2020, that ambition took root. We returned to the Dabie Mountains to establish a local sericulture and rural revitalization base.

Sericulture—the cultivation of silkworms to produce silk—begins with mulberry leaves. By developing standardized mulberry fields and participating directly in silk farming, we brought our work closer to the source of our materials.

That connection helps us pay greater attention to the early stages of silk production: the cultivation of mulberry trees, the leaves used to feed silkworms, and the care involved in raising them.

Alongside this focus on quality was an equally important purpose: creating practical earning opportunities for local villagers.

Opportunities Close to Home

For older residents in mountain villages, suitable employment can be difficult to find. Work far from home may be impractical, while physically demanding jobs may not fit their needs.

Our base offers flexible opportunities to collect and supply fresh mulberry leaves for the silkworms. This work allows participating residents to earn supplementary income close to home, while fitting their involvement around their daily routines.

Each delivery of leaves supports the next stage of silk production. It also gives local people a direct role in an industry connected to their own land.

The project was developed as an ongoing community partnership. By linking silk farming with local livelihoods, we aim to make the growth of our business useful to the people around it.

Understanding Silk From Its Beginning

A finished silk fabric is valued for its softness, sheen, and drape. Behind those qualities lies a sequence of work that starts long before weaving.

Mulberry trees must be cultivated. Leaves must be gathered. Silkworms must be carefully tended. Cocoons then begin their journey toward the yarns and textiles our customers receive.

Our involvement at the farming stage gives us a closer understanding of that journey. It strengthens the connection between our textile expertise and the people working at the source.

For our global partners, this is part of the story behind Stitch Textile: a commitment to understanding our materials and building lasting relationships where their production begins.

Carrying Our Original Aspiration Forward

Our team’s banner carries a simple ambition: “Let the World Enjoy China Silk.”

As we work toward that ambition, we continue to carry our hometown with us. The mulberry fields in the Dabie Mountains remind us that business growth can create opportunities beyond the company itself.

We remain committed to developing our silk expertise, supporting local participation, and nurturing the relationships that make this work possible.

Rooted in nature and grateful to our community, Stitch Textile continues to weave that original aspiration into its future.
